INVITATION LETTER

Dear friends, dear colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2019 UCARE URTICARIA CONFERENCE, which will be held in the city of two continents, the city of the past, the present and the future, ISTANBUL. This year’s meeting is all about SHARING BEST PRACTICE IN URTICARIA. Let’s discuss our experience, share our expertise and harmonize our approach to the management of urticaria.

This is the second UCARE Meeting, held under the supervision of GA2LEN, the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network. As the previous meeting, this year’s UCARE meeting welcomes dermatologists and allergologists from the approved and applicant UCARE centers as well as physicians from non-UCARE centers, who want to improve their knowledge on urticaria.

The scientific programme has been developed carefully by the scientific comittee and will focus on the newest therapeutic approaches, management of special patient populations, difficult cases and comorbidities as well as novel developments on biomarkers and pathogenesis. In addition, there will be workshops on the use of patient reported outcome tools and on how to diagnose inducible urticarias. Standardization and harmonization round tables will enable discussion with the experts on the problems encountered while managing patients in the clinical setting.

The first half-day of the meeting will be exclusive to approved and applicant UCARE-members, while non-members will be welcomed in the afternoon of the first day and during the second day.

The key objectives of the UCARE Meeting are to better understand, review and discuss:

  • What is the UCARE network and how to become a UCARE Center
  • The current position and ongoing projects of the UCARE Network
  • The challenges in the clinical setting: optimization of treatment and managing comorbidities
  • The latest reports from clinical trials
  • Tools that help to assess disease activity, disease control, quality of life and diagnose inducible urticarias

On behalf of the scientific and organizing committee, we are looking forward to your participation in this memorable UCARE MEETING, where you will enjoy a warm and welcoming city and gain in-depth knowledge and practical solutions to your daily clinical challenges. Istanbul is an amazing city that connects the mysticism of the East and the modernity of the West. Let us do our best to make this meeting a memorable scientific, cultural and socially interactive experience for you!
